Create one document with a separate block for every animal and a shared household timeline. Then confirm that all responsibilities fit the offered care duration.
Make every pet unambiguous
Record the name, a recent photo, species or breed, age and identifying features. Attach food, medication, behaviour and permitted areas explicitly to that name.
Do not leave unlabelled bowls or tablets. Show where individual supplies are stored and what must remain separate.
Explain interactions and safety boundaries
State which animals can eat, play or go outside together and which must be separated. Disclose resource guarding, prey drive, tension, escape risk and responses to visitors.
The sitter needs to understand critical door order and barriers. A small deviation can create conflict or escape in a multi-pet household.

Check time and price for the whole household
Separate feeding areas, litter trays, walks or medication require time. Disclose the real number of animals before the proposal and ask whether the provider accepts that combination.
Confirm the full task list, duration and price. An appointment that is too short creates rushed checks and is not a meaningful saving.
If every animal cannot be cared for responsibly in one visit, choose a longer or broader care variant.
Ask for an individual update
A group photo does not necessarily show whether each pet ate, toileted or behaved normally. Agree which core facts will be reported for every animal.
Leave relevant veterinary details per pet and identify who can authorise emergency care. Keep enough labelled supplies and a backup contact available.
